LF Vice Chairman & CEO Oh Kyoo-sik delivered a New Year’s address on Jan. 5, naming 2026 as the year to become a “future lifestyle comprehensive company.” Facing low domestic growth and high foreign exchange volatility, he urged a shift from scale competition to brand power and highlighted “customer experience innovation” as the company’s survival strategy. Fashion will prioritize brand value over simple sales growth, accelerating global expansion of proven labels like Hazzys and Dunst (Korean fashion brands). Beauty will grow overseas centered on ATE Beauty (아떼 뷰티). Food businesses will pursue vertical integration via M&A to develop high-margin “killer” products, category specialization, and exclusive rights for overseas brands, aiming to become a private‑brand (PB) based food distribution specialist. Real estate finance will diversify assets, add data centers as a growth sector, secure residential, senior living, and hotel assets, and expand abroad. The CEO also called for company‑wide new growth discovery, continued M&A and investments, and adoption of digital transformation and AI to strengthen core competitiveness. He concluded by urging employees to proactively lead change to meet rising customer expectations.
