The Ministry of Science and ICT expanded the national nano-fab (infrastructure) integrated information system 'MoaFab' from 6 to 14 participating institutions by adding 8 more. MoaFab links dispersed public nano-fabs into a single platform so researchers and companies can efficiently use advanced equipment and support the full lifecycle from basic research to commercialization. User features include unified service application and management, real-time progress monitoring, recommended reservation times, equipment and specialist information by institution, and support program applications. For operators, MoaFab improves process management, mobile service handling, and inter-institution process linkage, enabling better connection of equipment, personnel, and data. The ministry also runs a public-private council and signed MOUs with major semiconductor firms to advance MoaFab functions for R&D, testing, prototyping, and workforce training to strengthen Korea's semiconductor competitiveness.
