A year-end small-works exhibition is on view at Galleria Artgang in Garosugil, Seoul, featuring about 30 mid-career artists to lower the barrier to art and encourage direct engagement between artists and visitors. Organized in two parts (late November–Dec. 5 and Dec. 14–29), the show presents intimate pieces that respond to a sluggish art market and aims to boost creativity and public access. Notable contributors include Hwang Je-seong, whose work “From the Wind of Circulation” combines symbolic objects and layered space to evoke adult dreams and lost childhood; Song Tae-gwan, whose landscape “Early Autumn” captures Korean seasonal and homeland sentiment; and Jeong Tae-young, whose “Life Journey” reflects travel scenes and memory with a warm lyricism. Galleria Artgang occupies part of late painter Kang Gil-won’s former home, run now by his widow, painter Seo Yang-sun, and was conceived as a casual, approachable setting to enjoy art and foster artist-public dialogue.
