The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation has launched two new “money keyrings” featuring real currency fragments embedded in the design. Made from 1g of leftover banknote material from the printing process, the keyrings come in 50,000-won and 10,000-won versions and are modeled after the dokkaebi bangmangi (도깨비방망이) — a traditional goblin club symbolizing wish fulfillment, luck and wealth. The front uses epoxy resin to preserve the banknote’s color and detail with a glossy finish, while the metal-edged back bears the “Money Made” brand logo. The project is part of a broader series of currency-themed goods (money goods) that repurpose printing byproducts into items like pens, cushions and wallets to promote circular economy and social value, the corporation says.
