Musical Stars Choi Jung-won and Nam Kyung-joo to Open 2026 New Year Concert with Duet

Seogu Cultural Center will host a 2026 New Year Concert on Jan. 9 featuring first-generation Korean musical stars Choi Jung-won and Nam Kyung-joo. The program includes medleys of signature musical numbers, solo performances such as Choi’s “All That Jazz” from Chicago and Nam’s “This Is the Moment” from Jekyll & Hyde, and a closing duet of “A Whole New World” from the film Aladdin. The Ars Nova male chorus opens the show with lively harmonies, and the Daegu International Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Lee Dong-shin, will accompany the performers. Tickets are free for Seogu residents (up to two per person) and available starting Jan. 7 via in-person, the center’s website, or Ticketlink; suitable for ages 12 and up.
