Gangwon Province turns into a "winter kingdom" this season, with Hi-One (High1) and Mona Yongpyong ski resorts offering extended, premium winter experiences. Hi-One will operate for 115 days until March 22, keeping prices for lift tickets, rentals and lessons the same as last year while upgrading a premium ski-pass with priority lift/cable access, lesson discounts and family benefits. Located at 1,340m, Hi-One emphasizes safety—pre-season slope checks, a dedicated safety task force, new impact mats and fences—and expanded family attractions in its Snow World, including large rafting sleds and a transparent dome (photo spot) to enjoy snowfall indoors. Mona Yongpyong highlights performance-oriented terrain: it features one of Korea’s longest downhill runs, a 5.6 km course starting near the 1,458m Balwangsan summit, plus clearly separated beginner and intermediate/advanced lines (Yellow, Blue, Red, Gold, Rainbow series) for consistent training. Its 14 lifts minimize congestion and keep run–reload cycles smooth. Season pass options include the nationwide X5+ pass (unlimited access to five major resorts) and integration with the global Ikon Pass, expanding international riding opportunities.
