Yeosu city launched YeosuN, a smart tourism app that manages the entire trip from planning to payment on a single platform. The app uses AI tourism curation to build personalized itineraries and integrates real-time transport info (flights, buses, taxis, rental cars, public bikes, shared kickboards), ticketing with QR entry, and an “order-and-pay” function to skip lines. Smart parking links about 30 public lots to show available spaces, fees and allows prepayment. Visitor amenities (GPS-based toilets, nursing rooms, lockers, wheelchair/stroller rentals, pet-friendly spots) and luggage delivery/storage are included. For foreigners it supports Korean, English and Chinese and connects to the Korea Tourism Organization 1330 service for multilingual interpretation and help. An AR character “stamp tour” (collectible AR characters) across 245 locations rewards points usable like cash at restaurants, hotels, attractions and shops. Ahead of the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo, the app will add a “K-Tourism Island Pass” to book ferries, lodging, dining and programs in one flow. Officials say YeosuN will be a practical daily-and-tourist platform and a model for smart tourism.
