A two-part global documentary, 'K-GIM Revolution', showcasing the safety, quality control and export competitiveness of Korean seaweed (gim) will premiere Jan 28 on MBC and be released on major international platforms. Presented by chef Ahn Seong-jae, the 2 x 30-minute episodes follow key farming regions and trace the product from cultivation to processing and export, highlighting rigorous standards under the K·FISH brand and why Korean gim is gaining attention in global gastronomy. The film features fine-dining uses and cultural interpretations that position gim beyond Asia as an emerging global culinary trend. The series will stream on Wavve the same day, air on MBC America (DirecTV) for U.S. viewers, and reach other markets including Lifetime Asia and History UK in the coming months.
