Kervy Coffee, tucked inside Busan’s bustling Bujeon Market (부전시장), has become known for exquisite latte art that turns each cup into a miniature canvas. Owner and barista Jo Dong-woon (조동운), a 14-year coffee veteran, renovated a long-vacant shop to create a cozy, vintage European-style space filled with charming decor. Jo trains constantly and has placed highly in national and regional latte-art competitions, bringing techniques that produce detailed designs like unicorns, dogs, and seasonal figures. Kervy roasts its own “signature blend” (representative blend) of Brazilian and Guatemalan beans for a balanced, milky sweetness, plus rotating “seasonal blends” with brighter acidity. The café also offers single-origin hand-drip coffees, creative non-coffee drinks (e.g., coconut coffee, coffee tonic), and house-baked desserts such as a soaked-and-aged French toast topped with fresh market fruit. The combination of visual flair, carefully roasted beans, and warm ambiance explains the café’s strong repeat-visit rate.
