LG Arts Center Seoul announced its 2026 CoMPAS 26 season featuring nine major productions across dance, ballet, theater, jazz and classical music. Highlights include Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite’s first Korea visit with Assembly Hall (awarded the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production), Alexander Ekman returning with his ballet A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Polish director Lukasz Twarkowski’s four-hour play ROHTKO inspired by the Mark Rothko forgery scandal. LG Arts Center will also stage three in-house productions: Son Sang-gyu’s Uncle Vanya (May 7–31), the sound artist Iza Ram’s sold-out work Snow, Snow, Snow moved to the large stage (October), and Yangson Project’s The Enemy of the People (November) as part of an Ibsen trilogy. The season opens with New York jazz icon Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (15-piece big band) in Korea for the first time in 24 years (Mar 25–26), followed by the legendary French Labèque sisters performing Philip Glass’s repertoire (Apr 26).
