Singer Hwasa Surprises at Park Jeong-min’s 'Life of Pi' Christmas Performance

On December 25, singer Hwasa (Ahn Hye-jin) attended the musical Life of Pi at GS Art Center in Gangnam, Seoul, where Park Jeong-min stars as Pi. Wearing a black jumper and cap, Hwasa personally greeted the cast after the show, took photos with actors including Hwang Man-ik (who plays Pi’s father), and praised the performance. Hwang posted their photo on Instagram and thanked her for coming. Fans reacted excitedly to the sighting and speculated about Hwasa and Park Jeong-min meeting again; Park had previously said they were not in contact. Life of Pi, based on Yann Martel’s novel (and the 2012 Oscar-winning film), opened in the West End in 2021; Park’s show has been selling out and topped weekly ticket sales in the musical category. Park said the production made him reflect on life, hope and belief, themes central to the show.
