The French musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet will be restaged in Korean from March 20 to May 21 next year at the KEPCO Art Center (한전아트센터). First premiered in Paris in 2001, the show toured Korea in 2007 and attracted about 100,000 audience members; a Korean-language licensed production followed in 2009. This upcoming run marks the musical’s first Korean-language production in 17 years. Cast members include N.Flying’s Yoo Hoe-seung, The Boyz’s New, and CRAVITY’s Woobin as Romeo, with Song Eun-hye and Jang Hye-rin as Juliet. Oh Jong-hyuk and Park Min-sung play Benvolio; Baek Joo-yeon and former Baby V.O.X member Shim Eun-jin are cast as Lady Capulet; Kim Young-ju and Kim Ah-sun are Lady Montague. The production is directed by Professor Lee Jong-seok (Seokyeong University), with music director Lee Na-young and choreographer Jung So-yeon joining the creative team.
