The Czech Tourism Board, Embassy, and Czech Cultural Centre held a press meeting in Seoul to promote winter tourism and cultural projects for Korean visitors. Highlights include a 6m lantern at the 2025 Seoul Lantern Festival modeled on Prague’s Old Town Hall tower and 1410 astronomical clock; a free exhibition “Veselé Vánoce!” (Czech for “Merry Christmas”) at the Seoul Museum of History showcasing glass Christmas ornaments by seven Czech workshops, including Rautis which is recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list; and “Alphonse Mucha: Dreams of Light,” displaying 143 original works (11 national treasures specially cleared for export) at The Hyundai Seoul through March 4, 2026. The Czech Michelin Guide’s first standalone edition was announced, listing 79 restaurants nationwide and marking Czech cuisine’s push as a global gastronomic destination. Direct flights from Incheon to Prague operate daily seasonally via Korean carriers, and joint winter promotions with Korean Air were noted.
