Hy has unveiled L3BBS, a proprietary probiotic blend made from six patented strains developed and cultured by the company. One key strain, HY2782 (commonly used in Hy’s fermented milk, referred to as “Yakult-like lactic acid bacteria”), has completed FDA functional ingredient registration (NDI), confirming its safety. HY2782 demonstrates about five times higher gut survival than strains cultured for one day, and shows stronger intestinal adhesion (7-day culture: 8.7% vs 1-day: 3.3%), an important trait for probiotics to interact with the host, block harmful bacteria, and aid nutrient absorption. The blend also includes HY7801, a human-derived, acid-tolerant strain being studied for women’s health (it grows well in the acidic vaginal environment and may prevent infection and reduce bladder inflammation in animal tests), plus other Hy strains used in the MPRO gut-health brand (HY8002, HY7712, HY7715) to boost competitiveness.
