Nongshim’s Shin Ramyun commercial featuring K‑pop girl group aespa surpassed 100 million YouTube views roughly a month after its release. The campaign, the first to name aespa as global ambassadors for the long‑running Shin Ramyun brand (launched in 1991), blends music‑video style visuals and choreography — including a viral “Shin Ramyun dance” that mimics opening a noodle packet and pouring water — rather than a traditional product demo. The ad uses a reinterpreted 1990s Spice Girls tune and is being distributed globally, with short edits spreading on social platforms. Nongshim has also released special aespa‑themed Shin Ramyun packaging (including photo cards) aimed at fans and tied the effort to broader IP collaborations like the Netflix animation “K‑Pop Demon Hunters.” The company says the campaign positions Shin Ramyun as cultural content as well as a food brand and plans more global partnerships to strengthen the product’s image.
