'We Are Someone's Santa' — Damyang Santa Festival Draws Large Crowds

The 7th Damyang Santa Festival opened on December 24 under the theme 'We Are Someone's Santa,' attracting large crowds. The opening day featured a Santa street parade, lighting ceremony, and fireworks, followed by performances from singers Lim Chang-jung and Wax and an EDM DJ. On Christmas Day, artists Noise, Park Sung-hyun, and local performers closed the festival. Family-friendly activities included LED light and keyring making, a 'Santa Grill House' in Children’s Provence (어린이프로방스), Santa photo zones, and mini-games. Busking at the central park, exhibitions at Dam-bit Art Warehouse (담빛예술창고) and Haedong Cultural Arts Village (해동문화예술촌), and special ticket refunding to promote local businesses at Juknokwon and the Metasequoia Road were also held. Damyang’s mayor said the county will continue to develop the festival into a leading winter event in Korea.
