The National Maritime Museum in Busan will host free family-friendly events on December 25. The museum will stage a puppet performance of “Scrooge the Miser” (a child-oriented adaptation of Dickens’ tale) three times in the main auditorium (11:00, 13:00, 15:00), each accommodating up to 300 viewers. At 11:30 a.m., a diver feeding show (feeding performance by an aquarist) will run for about 10 minutes at the third-floor circular aquarium. The museum’s special exhibition “Shells, kai (かい): Traces of Korea and Japan in Shells” marks 60 years of Korea-Japan diplomatic normalization and features a shell mask excavated in Dongsam-dong, Yeongdo, on display in Busan for the first time in 54 years, along with interactive media façade content and a black-and-white sticker photo booth. The museum recommends checking its website for full event and exhibition details.
