Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened its first managed hotel in South Korea, the 5-star Wyndham Gangwon Goseong, officially operating from December 22, 2025. Located in Bongpo, Goseong County, the 28-story ocean-view property has 529 rooms all facing the East Sea, offering rare uninterrupted sea vistas and views of Seoraksan Mountain (a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve nearby). Facilities emphasize the coastal landscape, including a 28th-floor infinity pool, rooftop private pool, all-day dining, The Edge pool bar, and a craft burger club. The resort is designed to serve families, couples, and MICE events, with convenient road access to Seoraksan, Sokcho Central Market, Sokcho Express Bus Terminal, and Yangyang International Airport (all within about 20 minutes by car). Wyndham describes the hotel as a regional tourism hub that blends its global service standards with Goseong’s natural setting, marking a new benchmark for East Coast stays.
