‘Solo Leveling on Ice’: Korea’s First Musical Ice-Action Show Debuts

A new show musical, Solo Leveling on Ice, adapts the globally popular web novel (and franchise) into Korea’s first action performance on an ice rink, running Dec 24–31 at Mokdong Ice Rink. Produced by Live Arena, the one-year project blends musical theatre, figure skating, speed skating, ice hockey and curling-inspired movements, plus lasers and video, to convey the protagonist Sung Jin‑woo’s growth and high‑speed action sequences that a conventional stage can’t capture. The production emphasizes live singing and acting rather than dubbed sports displays and aims to bring original‑story fidelity with fresh spectacle. Cast includes Lee Ho‑won (Sung Jin‑woo), Kim Ye‑rim (as a figure skater, Cha Hae‑in), and others; 10 performances are scheduled over the holiday week.
