TV personality Jo Se-ho, who launched and actively participated as creative director in the men's fashion label Amofre with Kolon FnC in 2021, will end the brand's operation when their contract expires at the end of this month. Amofre, marketed for the 'average Korean male' with practical designs and graphics inspired by Jo Se-ho's signature motifs, will complete its final fall/winter 2025 season before winding down; its shop pages are already removed from Kolon FnC's site. Industry reports suggest the closure may be partly linked to recent allegations tying Jo Se-ho to organized crime and illegal gambling promoters, which led to his withdrawal from some TV shows, though Kolon FnC says the decision is simply due to contract expiry and unrelated to the controversy. Remaining stock is expected to be sold through outlets, with details not yet finalized. (Kolon FnC: a major Korean fashion company)
