The theater troupe Munjibang will stage a new play, "Chronograph of Fruit" (Yeolmae-ui Sich'a), running Jan 9–18 at Daehangno Theatre Quad in Seoul. Written by Lee Yebin (noted for the 2020 work "Daughters of Megalia") and directed by Jo Ji-won, the play—selected in the 2024 Korea Arts & Culture Commission script contest—explores ethical questions arising from Korea’s recent feminist movement. Centering on protagonist Lee-su’s shifting memories, the drama examines student-power dynamics, cancel culture, grooming and power-based sexual violence, feminism and gender conflict as characters debate a student council presidential candidate, Oh Min-hyuk. The narrative moves between past memories, present disputes and an imagined Eden, revealing ambiguous boundaries between perpetrator and victim. Performances are for ages 18+, about 100 minutes; tickets via NOL Ticket (Interpark). (Daehangno: Seoul’s main theater district)
