CelloScape: Hong Jinho Bridges Forest and City in Solo Concert

Cellist Hong Jinho will present a solo concert, "CelloScape," on March 3 at Sejong M Theater (Sejong Cultural Center). The program weaves his two recent projects — the nature-inspired album Dear Forest and the travel-tinged City Melody — into a lyrical journey merging forest and urban moods. Hong will perform his original pieces alongside arrangements from a Disney cello sheet-music collection, French chanson, and pop, supported by pianist Choi Mun-seok, bassist Kim Yu-seong, and violinist Yoon Jong-su. A Seoul National University and Würzburg Conservatory graduate who rose to fame after winning the TV show "Superband," Hong blends classical training with jazz, tango, and original composition. He also curates the book-concert series "Jinho's Bookstore" (진호의 책방) that pairs literature with music. The concert promises intimate, thoughtful performances that explore the cello’s expressive range.
