Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are operating the 'Gyeonggi Women’s Startup Platform Ggummaru' (꿈마루), a women-only startup support space across 10 locations including Suwon, Uijeongbu, and Goyang. The platform offers free access for eligible prospective and early-stage women founders to shared offices, meeting rooms, and product photography studios. In July, Ggummaru held the 2025 Gyeonggi Women’s Startup Competition, selecting 10 promising founders from a 17:1 applicant ratio and awarding a total of 20 million won plus expert mentoring. Winners include a developer of plant-based special-effect cosplay makeup and founders who secured public data awards and export support through KOTRA, leading to overseas MOUs. Follow-up programs like 'Plus Day' and twice-yearly 'Dream Market' pop-ups (플리마켓) in October and December helped about 600 visitors and linked startup education with real selling experience; emoji (이모티콘) creators also showcased work. Officials say the platform provides practical, on-the-ground support to help women entrepreneurs scale and contribute to regional economic growth.
