Namyangju Holds ‘Future Education Community Academy’ for Middle and High School Parents

Namyangju City hosted the ‘Future Education Community Academy’ on the 19th at a cafe in Geumgok-dong for parents from Wabu, Joan, Geumgok and Dasan areas. The roaming academy (권역별·학교급별 순회 프로그램) enables parents to share practical views on their children’s education. About 40 parents from 16 middle and high schools attended the tenth session, which included city education updates, a special lecture on preparing for careers and admissions in the high school credit system (고교학점제), and a parent empathy talk. Mayor Joo Gwang-deok encouraged warm communication at home, saying small gestures from parents matter. Attendees praised the city for listening to parents and partnering on education. Namyangju plans to continue incorporating parent and school feedback next year to foster a local education community.
