LG Electronics is hosting an empathetic AI exhibition called 'Objects with Nunchi' (nunchi: a Korean term for social awareness and sensitivity) in collaboration with students from Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts). The show, part of LG’s university AI pop-up gallery project that began in November, runs at the Geumseongjeonpa Campus Art Center in Seoul’s Gyeongdong Market area through late March. Visitors can interact with prototypes of AI-driven home appliances designed to recognize and respond to users’ feelings and social cues; attendees were even invited to fill out an adoption form for a “companion appliance.” The project highlights creative student work exploring empathetic intelligence in everyday devices.
