Oak Valley Resort in Wonju, Gangwon Province unveils a range of events for the 2025–26 winter season aimed at families, couples and friends. Highlights include a Christmas character parade, fire-pit busking, character photo zones and a New Year sunrise (haemaji) celebration. The centerpiece is a collaboration with popular IP “Cookie Run” — a 6,000-pyeong (pyeong: Korean unit of area) ‘Cookie Run Sweetland’ featuring an expanded sledding area with themed sleds, a Cookie Run Playground with four minigames and souvenirs for early finishers, a Sweet Lounge with themed food, mascot zones with giant cake and Brave Cookie balloons, over 14 experience and photo spots, and an official merchandise shop. During Christmas, Santa and Cookie Run characters will parade through the park and hold photo times; evening fire‑pit busking and a special Christmas buffet at The Valley Kitchen will add to the festivities. On January 1 at 7 a.m., a New Year’s sunrise event at Wolsong-ri CC will offer a 5-meter “HOPEBIRD” installation, a wish-writing zone with prize draws, bonfire busking, photo moments with mini balloons, free shuttles and hot packs for guests, and nearby Starbucks offerings. The program aims to provide a memorable winter getaway for all ages.
