Dong-A Otsuka Signs Sponsorship Deal with KPGA Golfer Lee Dong-hwan

Dong-A Otsuka announced a sponsorship contract with KPGA pro golfer Lee Dong-hwan on the 19th. Lee, who won twice on the 2006 Japan Tour and became the youngest rookie of the year, also was the first Asian to top the PGA Tour qualifying (Q-school) in 2012. Now active on the KPGA Tour, he will receive support from Dong-A Otsuka including Pocari Sweat and other sports drinks and equipment to aid his training and tournament seasons. The company plans joint promotions and fan events featuring its Pocari Sweat and Narangd Cider (a Korean soda brand) to raise awareness of hydration and connect with golf fans. Dong-A Otsuka’s CEO said the sponsorship aims to help Lee compete at his best while promoting the importance of fluid replenishment on the field.
