Jeju Dream Tower complex celebrated its 5th anniversary with a cumulative 11.5 million visitors. Since opening during the COVID-19 era, the resort expanded from gaming-focused business to broader urban tourism and stay-oriented consumption. Lotte Tour Development reported 3.62 million hotel guests, 1.37 million casino visitors, and 6.55 million visits to food, beverage and the shopping mall ‘Han Collection’ as of Dec. 14. Revenue has strengthened this year — November sales reached 64.2 billion won, marking three consecutive months above the 60 billion-won level. Room occupancy stayed in the 80% range for six months (April–October); November was 79.3%, well above last year. The casino unit led recovery: monthly average visitors rose from 7,100 (2021) to 48,000, and monthly net revenue increased to 39.6 billion won, a 13-fold jump. From September to November the casino posted over 50 billion won monthly, the first among Korea’s 17 foreigner-only casinos to record three straight months at that level. Rising foreign guests (share up from ~65% last year to 72.5% in October) and combined demand for lodging, gaming, dining and shopping are cited as growth drivers, with expectations of more inbound Chinese visitors and higher-roller business supporting further gains.
