Cast of Musical 'Bonnie & Clyde' Share Why the Duo Fell for Each Other

At a press call for the musical 'Bonnie & Clyde' held at Hongik University Daehangno Art Center in Seoul, actors Cho Hyun-kyun, Yoon Hyun-min, Bae Na-ra, Ok Ju-hyun, and Hong Geum-bi discussed their roles. When asked why Bonnie and Clyde were drawn to each other, Bae Na-ra, who plays Clyde Barrow, replied wittily, “I just fell for them.” She elaborated that their relationship was born from needs created by their era: Clyde’s drive and urge to run provided the momentum Bonnie lacked, fulfilling each other’s deficits. The musical, based on the real-life 1930s Depression-era American outlaws Bonnie and Clyde and their crime spree of thefts and robberies, portrays two people who crave freedom and find love in each other.
