Master Chef Brings Luxury Fusion Dining to Geoje with Heartfelt Cooking

Chef Jung Seung-hoon of Alinia Restaurant, a 40-year veteran, has turned Geoje into a gastronomic destination with luxury Italian-inspired fusion cuisine. After rising to fame with a king-size donkatsu in 1985 and running popular family restaurants like ‘Donkatsu City’, Jung honed his skills in five-star hotel kitchens and international competitions (Singapore/Italy). Alinia sits by the sea: the first floor offers casual dishes—donkatsu (breaded pork cutlet), pasta, steak, risotto and coffee—while the second floor operates as a fine-dining space where a Michelin-starred chef serves a 12-course fusion tasting menu, including appetizers, salad, sea bream steak, tenderloin steak, lobster, and homemade cake. Recently honored with the 2025 Sports Seoul Innovation Leader award, Chef Jung plans to expand to the Seoul metropolitan area and open branches in Busan and Changwon, offering special dishes for reservation guests.
