Agoda analyzed 2025 search data and released the top 10 overseas destinations favored by South Korean travelers. Short-haul travel remains dominant: Japan’s Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka hold the top three spots, with Sapporo also in the top 10. Vietnam shows strong growth with Nha Trang, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc (nicknamed the “Maldives of Vietnam”) appearing on the list; Phu Quoc’s interest rose 63% year‑on‑year and offers up to 30-day visa-free entry for all foreign visitors. Bali (Indonesia), Bangkok (Thailand), and Taipei (Taiwan) also made the top 10. From January to October 2025, 24.3 million South Koreans traveled abroad (a 3.2% increase year‑on‑year), and Agoda reports a 15% rise in travel interest among Korean users. Agoda’s 2026 Travel Outlook finds 39% of Korean travelers plan overseas trips next year, well above the Asian average. Agoda says it will continue supporting travelers with a wide range of flights, accommodations, and activities.
