KBS Chuncheon Hosts Photo Exhibition “Breath of Gangwon, Shaping the Future”

KBS Chuncheon Broadcasting will hold a photo exhibition titled “Breath of Gangwon, Shaping the Future” from the 22nd to the 26th in its lobby to mark the station’s 81st anniversary. The show compiles images from the station’s yearlong series “Map of Gangwon Heritage,” revisiting 40 cultural and natural heritage sites documented over the past year. The exhibition highlights how Gangwon’s tangible and intangible heritage fuels the region’s future, using photos, videos, short texts and an interactive AI photo zone to make heritage feel like everyday life. The opening ceremony features local intangible heritage holders, including a performance by Kim Geum-su of the Taebaek Ararae Preservation Society celebrating the spirit of the Baekdudaegan (백두대간, the Korean mountain ridge). KBS Chuncheon plans to archive the series’ videos in the Gangwon National Heritage Archive to build a public resource for regional heritage.
