Wizzy, a beauty brand launched by Korean fashion platform Musinsa targeting the youthful '1721' generation, has doubled down on growth at home and abroad. Sales from September to November rose about 120% compared with June to August, driven by affordable pricing, strong branding, and collaborations with retail partners. Domestically, Wizzy products have appeared in convenience store GS25 (as 'Littly Wizzy') and at Musinsa’s Yongsan megastore. Internationally, the brand expanded into Japan amid rising K-beauty demand, first entering the Shibuya Don Quijote flagship in October and now available in roughly 300 Don Quijote (a major Japanese discount store chain) locations. Musinsa is applying its fashion marketing and data strategies to beauty and is positioning itself as both a brand owner and a beauty platform, offering an alternative to large offline retailers like Olive Young and Daiso. Industry observers say Wizzy’s success could strengthen Musinsa’s private-brand competitiveness and enhance its global branding if the brand firmly establishes itself overseas.
