The Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (ARKO) is presenting “2025 ARKO LEAP,” a concurrent exhibition at Kumho Museum, Ilmin Museum, and Hakgojae Art Center featuring 17 artists selected through the new Regional Arts Leap support program. Running through January 10, the initiative connects regional foundations and central ARKO support to help artists advance via creation funding, critical consultation, curator and space matching, publishing, and 1:1 expert mentoring. Works address themes from ecology and human–nonhuman relations to memory, place, geology, and perception — for example, a media installation about barn swallow habitat changes and paintings exploring urban verticality and inner emotion. Selected artists will also show work beyond Korea, including a new piece at the SongEun Art Award exhibition and a solo show in Melbourne. ARKO’s chair says the project aims to expand regional artists’ practices and strengthen an ecosystem linking local and central arts resources.
