Amorepacific announced it received the highest A grade from the global ESG assessor CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) in both climate change response and water management. The company has earned A for climate four years in a row and for water management two years consecutively; only about 2% of participating firms achieve A. Amorepacific’s recognition reflects commitments such as joining RE100 (a corporate renewable energy initiative), expanding renewable energy use, and pursuing a net-zero strategy aligned with SBTi 1.5°C (science-based target to limit global warming to 1.5°C). For water management, the firm was praised for site-level water monitoring systems and wastewater recycling to promote circular water use. Amorepacific aims to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% from 2020 levels by 2050 and is working with suppliers to reduce Scope 3 emissions. The company says it will continue to expand tangible results in climate and water stewardship.
