Korea Hosts ICAO Strategy Seminar to Strengthen Aviation Capabilities

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held an 'ICAO Strategy Strengthening Seminar' at the National Aviation Museum on the afternoon of the 16th. Government agencies, public aviation bodies, industry and academia gathered to review Korea’s role in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and to discuss strategic steps to boost Korea’s influence and capabilities in international aviation. Korea, an ICAO member since 1952, has served nine consecutive terms on the ICAO Council and ranks 8th in world air transport and 7th in ICAO financial contributions. Presentations covered ICAO Assembly outcomes and strategies for elevating Korea’s council status; participants aim to devise practical measures to enhance Korea’s standing in the global aviation community.
