Lotte Concert Hall marks its 10th anniversary with a themed series called “voyage,” presenting ten special performances across 2026 that bridge genres and eras. The season opens Feb 28 with conductor Chung Myung-whun (Jeong Myeong‑hun) leading the historic Dresden Staatskapelle and pianist Lim Yoon‑chan performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto. Piano star Cho Seong‑jin, named the hall’s 2026 resident musician, will give two major appearances: a chamber concert on July 14 with international colleagues (including Berlin Philharmonic concertmaster Daishin Kashimoto and violist Park Kyung‑min) and a recital on July 19 featuring works from Bach to Chopin. International orchestras and conductors visit Korea, including the Helsinki Philharmonic on Oct 22 (conducted by Juha Pekka Saraste) and the first Korean appearances of conductor Teodor Currentzis with his Utopia Orchestra on Nov 17–18. Legendary artists Charles Dutoit and Martha Argerich reunite with the KBS Symphony on Nov 21–22. Popular online violinist Ray Chen returns June 4, and eclectic organists Cameron Carpenter (Apr 7) and Olivier Latry (with Korean organist and wife Lee Shin‑young) also perform. The program emphasizes connecting classical music to broader audiences and tastes.
