Baekmidang Launches Six Sweet Potato Season Menu Featuring Yeongam 'Honey Sweet Potato'

Baekmidang has introduced six winter season items made with Yeongam sweet potato, following a November MOU with Yeongam County to support local producers. The lineup includes honey sweet potato lattes (hot and ginger-cream iced), honey sweet potato ice cream, four dessert cups, and two bakery items — honey sweet potato fresh-cream salt bread and honey sweet potato coconut salt bread (bakery items are available only at specialty stores). Most items are available nationwide at Baekmidang stores. To celebrate the launch, Baekmidang runs an Instagram event through the 31st: follow the brand and comment which honey sweet potato item you want to try for a chance to win one of ten gift vouchers. Baekmidang, founded in 2014, has aimed to reinterpret regional specialties into modern menu items as part of a local-value, win-win philosophy, previously releasing products like Yeoncheon black millet latte and Jeongseon blueberry yogurt smoothies. The company says it will continue developing local-specialty (roconomy) menus in partnership with regional farmers.
