During Amazon’s Black Friday–Cyber Monday period (Nov 20–Dec 1), Korean beauty (K-beauty) brands swept the platform’s Beauty & Personal Care top ranks. APR’s MediCube ‘Zero Pore Pad’ jumped from #24 last year to #1, accounting for 16.4% of category sales, while other MediCube products took #2 and #3. Multiple K-beauty names—Aromatica, Chungjungone (궁중비책), COSRX, d’Alba, Byodance, Anua—posted strong gains, with some brands showing sales surges up to 443%. Success is credited to localized marketing and combining online sales with offline experiences like New York pop-ups and listings at retailers such as Ulta Beauty and Sephora (세포라). NielsenIQ estimates the U.S. K-beauty market grew 37% year‑over‑year to about $2 billion. Industry observers expect K-beauty to expand beyond skincare into color cosmetics, fragrances, anti‑aging and derma cosmetics next year.
