Kang Cheol-won, the senior zookeeper at Everland, has been designated as a 'Maestar,' a newly established title recognizing experts with unique skills and experience at Everland, a popular theme park in South Korea. The term 'Maestar' merges 'Maestro' and 'Star,' symbolizing a recognition of excellence and expertise. Kang, known affectionately as 'Fu Bao's Grandpa' for his work with pandas, has contributed over 37 years to animal care, including leading the first natural breeding and rearing of giant panda cubs in Korea. Alongside two other experts in festival contents and food services, Kang will share his knowledge and inspire peers and juniors with innovative projects, receiving additional compensation for his new role.
