Jeju's NFT-based digital tourist pass NOWDA has exceeded 100,000 users just four months after launch, offering electronic tickets, discounts at partner businesses (restaurants, hotels, golf courses, rental cars), and tiered benefits for frequent users. To expand the service, Jeju provincial government and 16 local partners signed agreements to develop digital tourism services and link local products. Celebrating the milestone, Jeju declared 2026 the "Four Seasons Visit Jeju" year, aiming to create year-round, season-themed attractions to reduce seasonal demand imbalance and boost regional tourism. Governor Oh Young-hoon said the platform will be expanded to drive the tourism industry and local economy.
