Scrooge's Redemption: Heartfelt Fantasy Musical 'A Christmas Carol' in Daegu

A Daegu young creative troupe, Yeollyeoldan, stages a family-friendly fantasy musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol for two performances on Dec. 20–21 at the Nam-gu small theater HamSaeSang. The production brings Scrooge’s journey through past, present and future to life with interactive staging, brisk pacing, exaggerated characters and a rich musical mix—from carols and children's songs to opera, jazz and ballads—aimed at both kids and adults. Directed by Jeong Chang-yoon and featuring composer Ha Hyun-bong and award-winning actor Kim Jeong-hyun, the show emphasizes neighborly love and the value of sharing.
