Jeju Island has started operation of the seasonal 'Halla Snow Flower Bus' (한라눈꽃버스) servicing the snowy Halla Mountain 1100-godi (1100고지) area from Dec. 13 for 80 days through March 2. Two routes—1100 and 1100-1—connect Jeju Bus Terminal, hospitals, trailheads (Eorimok and Yeongsil), and Seogwipo stops, increasing weekend/holiday frequency to 32 runs for 1100 and 10 for 1100-1 (weekday runs rise from Jan. 1). The extra service shortens bus intervals on the 1100 road from 50–90 minutes to 10–30 minutes, easing heavy parking congestion at the popular snowy viewpoint. Officials held a safety launch event and urged safe operations as locals and tourists are expected to use the buses to enjoy Halla’s winter scenery.
