Korea Tourism Organization recommends three winter hot spring destinations that blend clear cold air with soothing warm water. 1) Goseong Sono Felice Delfino: A resort with an 11th-floor infinity pool overlooking Seoraksan and the dramatic Ulsan Rock (Ul-san-bawi), offering spectacular snowy views; bring a gown or beach towel because rooftop areas can be windy. 2) Icheon Termeden: A German-style hot spring resort and waterpark using 100% natural spring water, featuring a 30m indoor “bade pool,” outdoor forest baths, infinity pool, and diverse jjimjil (sauna) rooms like hinoki (cypress) and salt rooms—great for families. 3) Hwaseong Yulam Oncheon: Hwaseong’s first officially licensed hot spring, within 1–2 hours of Seoul, famed for alkaline water drawn from 700m underground and for its charcoal-gama (charcoal sauna) with high/medium/low temperature rooms plus footbaths and rest areas. Each spot offers distinct ways to relax—thermal pools, outdoor views, saunas, and family-friendly facilities—for a restorative winter escape.
