Violinist Kim Jung-yeon Solo Recital and Ensemble The Bridge 9th Regular Concert

Violinist Kim Jung-yeon will give a solo recital on the 14th at Yeongsan Art Hall in Seoul, performing Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. Kim trained at Seoul National University and earned advanced degrees from Yale and Rutgers; she debuted at 12 and has led and performed with groups such as the Korean Baroque Soloists and Korea Bach Society. Ensemble The Bridge, a 18-member string orchestra founded in 2016 that emphasizes communication with audiences, will present its 9th regular concert on the 17th at the same venue. The program, led by music director Sung Kyung-ju, features works including Dvořák’s “Drobnosti”, String Quartet No.2, and Bruch’s String Octet, showcasing the group’s recent expansion to symphony-orchestra-sized performances.
