LiveX, operator of hair salon brands WENEED and WENEED BLACK, held the “WENEED Awards 2025” at the Lotte Signiel Grand Ballroom in Busan with about 200 directors from 31 branches. The event featured a speech by CEO Song Jeong-ung, a jazz performance, and videos thanking directors, and it honored top contributors while sharing the year’s achievements. LiveX used the awards to formalize its Korean-style salon operations and director-focused growth model and to push global expansion. Riding the K-beauty wave beyond skincare into hair care, WENEED opened its first Japan store in Nagoya this year and plans a second Tokyo branch and more Nagoya locations next year. The company aims for 100 domestic salons (WENEED and Salon A combined) and 10 WENEED stores in Japan, with future expansion into Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam). CEO Song said the awards will evolve into a global ceremony for Korean and Japanese directors and stressed ambitions to become a global salon brand based on K-beauty techniques and service philosophy.
