Stella Artois Teams Up with Netflix’s 'The Black & White Chefs' Season 2

Belgian premium beer Stella Artois is launching a collaboration campaign with Netflix’s Korean reality show The Black & White Chefs (흑백요리사) Season 2. This marks the first domestic activation since AB InBev announced its global partnership with Netflix. Stella Artois says the show’s culinary competition fits its brand message of enjoying beer with high-quality dining. The campaign will roll out teaser ads, short-form videos and on- and offline consumer events timed with the show’s premiere. Creative elements include the Stella chalice glass, a black-and-white program logo, and playful ads featuring chefs in black and white. A campaign film will star Kwon Seong-jun, winner of Season 1 and brand ambassador known as “Napoli Mafia.” Weekly short-form highlights and participatory dining-focused events will follow. The Black & White Chefs features contests between underground “black spoon” (흑수저) chefs and elite “white spoon” (백수저) star chefs; Season 1 was the first Korean variety show to top Netflix’s global non-English TV Top 10 for three consecutive weeks. Season 2 premieres December 16.
