Nongshim won the grand prize at the 2025 Korea Package Design Exhibition for packaging that applied characters from the animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters” to flagship snacks Shin Ramyun and Saeukkang. Launched in August as the food industry’s first collaboration with Netflix, the designs linked film characters (Hentrix, Lion Boys, Theppy) to product features, drawing global attention and reinforcing Nongshim’s image as a K-culture-forward global brand. Judges praised the sensory application of the film’s world to convey K-food appeal to international consumers. Nongshim’s design director said the award reflects efforts to connect the company’s identity with K-culture sensibility and pledged continued design-driven expansion abroad. The Korea Package Design Exhibition is run by the Korea Package Design Association and evaluates entries on originality, appearance, function, materials and cost-effectiveness.
