Fashion Maker Hyungji to Launch Teen-Focused Cosmetics in Early Next Year

Hyungji Elite, a longtime Korean school uniform maker, will expand from fashion into beauty by launching cosmetics for teenagers in the first half of next year. Products in development include hand cream, mist, lip balm and sunblock, using eco-friendly materials and minimal harmful ingredients to prioritize teen safety. The company signed an MOU with global ODM cosmetics firm Cosmax to co-develop and manufacture the line. Hyungji plans to target teens in Korea, the U.S., China and Japan, with initial market push in China where it already has strong fashion partnerships, then expand exports to the U.S., Japan and Southeast Asia.
