COSRX Gains NMPA Sanitary Approval, Begins Official Entry into China

K-beauty brand COSRX has obtained sanitary approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), allowing official sales and expanded on- and offline market activities in China. The approval followed rigorous evaluation of ingredients, labeling, technical data, and safety standards required for foreign cosmetics. The first approved item is COSRX’s best-selling The Ceramide Skin Barrier Moisturizer, a hydrating cream suitable for sensitive skin and recognized domestically as a top dry-skin barrier cream. COSRX plans to secure approvals for additional products and pursue localized, aggressive marketing to meet Chinese consumer needs as part of its wider global strategy.
